Pasadena Office Opening January 2025

We are thrilled to announce that Maloney-Shamie-Hura Vision Institute is expanding to better serve even more patients in Los Angeles County! We will be seeing new surgical consultations for refractive and cataract patients in Pasadena beginning in January 2025.

This satellite office is the first step as we build a new, permanent second location in Pasadena. Our goal is to make surgical consultations and preoperative exams as convenient as possible for Pasadena and surrounding community patients. By offering these services locally, patients will only need to travel to our Westwood office for their LASIK or PRK surgery or to the Specialty Surgical Center of Beverly Hills for their cataract, EVO ICL, or Refractive Lens Exchange procedures. They would then either be seen in the Pasadena office for follow-up care or by their regular eye doctor.

To further enhance convenience and remove barriers to travel, we are happy to arrange Uber transportation on the day of surgery for our Pasadena-area patients. Westwood LASIK/PRK patients can travel unaccompanied or bring a guest if they wish. Cataract surgery, EVO ICL, and Refractive Lens Exchange procedures performed at Specialty Surgical Center are not allowed to leave the facility in rideshares unaccompanied due to anesthesia being administered. To take advantage of the complimentary Uber they would just need to bring a guest with them on surgery day.
